An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Process Scientist (East) to join our Water Quality Process Team. The role will be responsible for managing the provision of technical support to water operations to meet our customer promise of a constant supply of clean drinking water at optimum cost.
The post holder will be responsible for a small team of area based scientists providing technical expertise in water quality/treatment to the business.
The successful individual will have extensive experience in technical roles related to water quality/treatment science/engineering and hold either a Degree/MSc (or higher) in a scientific field. Alongside this you will be a member of an appropriate professional organisation (CIWEM/RSC/RSM/IRCA) and be maintaining continuing professional development. You must be familiar with the regulatory framework applied to water supply.
In addition to this you will have first class interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with, and engage with stakeholders.
Due to the nature of this role you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and be flexible to travel across the Southern Water region on a regular basis.
This position will be based at our site in Burham (Kent).
